In Australia, the Angus & Robertson chain of franchised booksellers are eventually installing 50 Espresso Book Machines in major stores throughout Australia. At the moment only one store in Melborne has the Heath Robinson incarnation of the EBM 1.5 installed. This is what the Australian pricing of $24 (AUD) is based on. It is high because the printing cost is high, but at least there is no shipping. However, another publisher said Angus & Robertson is charging twice the SRP or list price for EBM books. Therefore Australians may be better off with Amazon or the Book Depository.
The Canadian (CAD) price is also based on using these machines at various locations.
